WELCOME TO SUTVILLE

The inside of the car is dim, lit only by the front windshield, and the ghostly white eyes of his stare ahead. He thinks, 'I have not seen my real parents in 15 years. Today, I see them for the first time since I was 8.' While driving down the road, he catches glimpses of some of the towns residents; there is a mouse lady offering a raised card to a bird with a rattail; there is a tomboyish cat, and a human spraypainting a Sutville sign to say 'Slutville'; there is a short cat with glossy eyelids smoking a cigarette over the edge of an apartment balcony; there is a man yelling at a drive-through microphone; and there is a reptile lady wearing ovaled sunglasses in front of a bar door. Corbin gulps in hesitance. He is nervous at so many unfamiliars.
